Hodge made his on-air debut in 1973 and went on to spend more than 30 years as part of the "Roger, Rick & Marilyn Show" on CHUM 104.5 FM in Toronto. After leaving CHUM, he was part of 97.3 EZ Rock's morning team in Toronto, he taught courses as part of Niagara College's broadcasti­ng program, and six years ago returned to his hometown.

Rick Hodge has announced he's retiring after 45 years in radio. For the last six years, Hodge has been co-hosting the morning show at iHeartRadio Canada station 105.7 EZ Rock (CHRE-FM) St. Catharines. His final live broadcast will be this Friday, Nov. 2, beginning at 5:30 a.m. ET.

Following an eternity doing mornings on 104.5 CHUM-FM with Roger Ashby and Marilyn Denis, Rick left CHUM to become a part of 97.3 EZ Rock's Toronto morning team. I once sat in on a show and great controversy ensued. All's well that ends well, and I ended up working with Rick Hodge, attempting to teach him social media and helping him blog.
